Carrier Sales Representative

In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrier sourcing, building strong carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and covering loads, with a focus on securing reliable capacity for key lanes. You’ll also handle carrier onboarding, TMS updates, and pickup/delivery appointment scheduling. Responsibilities: - - Source and develop relationships with reliable carriers for high-volume and frequently used lanes. - Conduct carrier sales and prospecting to build a strong and consistent carrier network. - Identify carriers with the capacity and equipment to consistently operate on key lanes. - Build and maintain long-term carrier relationships, with the goal of establishing dedicated monthly lane coverage. - Onboard new carriers, ensuring all required information and documentation are completed. - Negotiate carrier rates while maintaining competitive pricing and a high level of service. - Source and secure carriers to cover available shipments within required pickup and delivery timeframes. - Monitor shipment coverage and proactively address any uncovered or at-risk loads. - Update and maintain accurate shipment and carrier information in the TMS. - Schedule and reschedule pickup and delivery appointments as needed. - Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and on-time shipment execution.
