Please note: No relocation assistance is offered for this position. Position Overview We are seeking a Assistant Project Manager to support our construction and project management team. This role is heavily focused on project administration, organization, communication, and coordination. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Project Management staff, shop personnel, field teams, and our mainland office to help ensure projects are executed efficiently and successfully. This position offers exposure to all aspects of construction project management and is ideal for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career within the construction industry. While primarily office-based, this role may occasionally require assisting with deliveries, material pickups, site visits, and other operational support activities as needed. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate: - Positive attitude and strong work ethic - Willingness to learn and take on new challenges - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Problem-solving ability and attention to detail - Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment - Dependability and accountability - Strong customer service and relationship-building skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency with computers and business software - Desire for professional growth and advancement Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Assist Project Managers and project staff with daily project management activities - Maintain project documentation and filing systems - Prepare, organize, track, and distribute project documents - Record, monitor, and analyze project-related data - Manage email correspondence and communications - Coordinate material deliveries and document distribution - Support office administration and clerical functions - Answer and direct incoming phone calls - Process incoming and outgoing mail and shipments - Maintain office supply inventories and place orders as needed - Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and schedules when necessary - Maintain electronic and hard-copy project records - Assist with company procedures, systems, and process compliance - Communicate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments - Support local operational needs, including occasional trips to vendors, shipping providers, and government offices - Track assigned tasks and project timelines - Assist with package and material expediting - Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment - Perform other duties as assigned - Supporting shop and field operations as needed - Attending subcontractor and project meetings - Reviewing construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings - Assisting with project scheduling and coordination - Tracking project milestones and deliverables - Monitoring project progress and communicating status updates - Coordinating materials procurement and shipment tracking - Supporting safety initiatives on job sites and in the office - Developing an understanding of contracts, scopes of work, and project requirements - Working cross-functionally to ensure project deadlines and client expectations are met Qualifications - Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required - Previous administrative, project coordination, or construction experience is preferred - General knowledge of construction practices is beneficial - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required - Experience with Bluebeam is preferred - Strong organizational and communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening - Participation in random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing is required - We are willing to train the right candidate with limited experience - Students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply Benefits & Compensation Compensation: DOE (Dependent on Experience) - Full-time position - Comprehensive benefits package available - Career advancement opportunities within a growing company Equal Opportunity Employer A Team Pacific Roofing, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
