Role Informatica MDM Architect Title Principal Consultant What Is the Role TELUS Digital's Salesforce Practice is seeking an experienced Informatica Master Data Management architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise MDM solutions. This Principal Consultant will translate business priorities into scalable data models, governance processes, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps across Salesforce and the broader enterprise application landscape. The role combines hands-on architecture, delivery leadership, client advisory work, and practice development. Responsibilities - Lead discovery sessions with business, data, security, integration, and application stakeholders to define MDM goals, domain priorities, operating constraints, and measurable outcomes. - Design end-to-end Informatica MDM architectures for customer, product, supplier, reference, and other enterprise data domains using the appropriate Informatica cloud or multidomain capabilities. - Define canonical data models, hierarchies, relationships, crosswalks, match and merge rules, survivorship logic, trust frameworks, and golden-record processes. - Develop current-state and target-state architecture, implementation roadmaps, effort estimates, and sequencing recommendations for new deployments, modernizations, and migrations. - Establish integration patterns for Salesforce and other source and consuming systems using APIs, batch processing, event-driven services, middleware, and Informatica integration capabilities. - Align MDM design with Salesforce solution architecture, including identity resolution, account and contact models, product and reference data, consent and privacy requirements, and downstream analytics needs. - Design data quality, profiling, cleansing, validation, enrichment, exception handling, and remediation processes in partnership with data owners and stewards. - Define workflow, stewardship, role-based access, auditability, and governance controls that support operational adoption and regulatory requirements. - Set nonfunctional requirements for performance, scalability, availability, security, recoverability, monitoring, and supportability. - Provide technical direction throughout configuration, development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization; review designs and deliverables for quality and architectural alignment. - Guide data conversion and migration activities, including source assessment, mapping, reconciliation, cutover planning, and post-load validation. - Identify delivery risks and architectural decisions early, document tradeoffs, and present clear recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders. - Partner with project leadership to plan work, manage dependencies, and maintain alignment across onshore and offshore delivery teams. - Support proposals, solution estimates, statements of work, client presentations, and technical demonstrations for MDM opportunities. - Coach consultants and engineers, contribute reusable architecture patterns and delivery assets, and help strengthen the practice's Informatica MDM capabilities. Required Qualifications - Significant enterprise data-management consulting or delivery experience, including hands-on leadership of Informatica MDM implementations. - Architecture experience with Informatica Master Data Management Cloud, Multidomain MDM SaaS, or Informatica multidomain MDM, with depth in at least one master-data domain. - Strong knowledge of MDM concepts, including data modeling, match and merge, survivorship, hierarchy management, data stewardship, workflow, reference data, and golden-record management. - Experience integrating MDM platforms with Salesforce and other enterprise applications through REST or SOAP APIs, messaging, middleware, batch interfaces, or event-driven patterns. - Working knowledge of data quality, metadata, governance, privacy, security, and lineage practices within an enterprise data architecture. - Experience leading architecture across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution design through testing, deployment, and production support. - Ability to evaluate legacy and cloud platforms, define modernization or migration approaches, and explain technical tradeoffs to client stakeholders. - Strong SQL and data-analysis skills, with the ability to assess source data, mappings, transformations, and reconciliation results. - Demonstrated client-facing consulting skills, including workshop facilitation, executive communication, documentation, estimation, and issue resolution. - Experience leading distributed teams and coordinating work across architects, developers, data engineers, analysts, administrators, and business stakeholders. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Business 360 Console and one or more Informatica business applications such as Customer 360 SaaS, Product 360 SaaS, Supplier 360 SaaS, or Reference 360 SaaS. - Experience with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud capabilities for data integration, data quality, governance, cataloging, or application integration. - Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce industry or core clouds, particularly where MDM and Salesforce data models must work together. - Experience with cloud platforms, data warehouses or lakehouses, and integration technologies commonly used in enterprise data ecosystems. - Informatica, Salesforce, cloud-platform, data-governance, or architecture certifications. - Experience shaping MDM programs across multiple business units, geographies, or data domains. Consulting and Leadership Qualities - Client focus: Keeps the client's business goals, users, and operating realities central to architecture and delivery decisions. - Accountability: Takes ownership of recommendations, commitments, risks, and delivery quality. - Communication: Explains complex data and architecture concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences. - Leadership: Builds trust, guides teams through ambiguity, and creates the conditions for others to deliver strong work. - Judgment: Balances strategic direction with practical implementation constraints and makes tradeoffs explicit. - Collaboration: Works effectively across client teams, Salesforce specialists, data and integration teams, and global delivery resources. - Problem solving: Uses structured analysis to resolve data-quality, integration, performance, governance, and adoption challenges. What Success Looks Like The Principal Consultant will give clients a clear, executable MDM architecture and lead teams in delivering trusted master data that can be used consistently across Salesforce and connected enterprise systems. Success includes sound architectural decisions, adopted governance and stewardship processes, predictable delivery, strong client relationships, and reusable capabilities that improve future MDM engagements.
