Wellness Coordinator – Site Distribution Staff/Data Specialist FLIPANY is seeking a motivated and community-focused Wellness Coordinator – Site Distribution Staff/Data Specialist to support our food security, wellness, and health equity initiatives in the Deerfield Beach community. This position plays an important role in supporting FLIPANY’s Healthy Student Healthy Community (HSHC) initiative and community-based food distribution efforts. The Wellness Coordinator will work directly with community members, volunteers, schools, and community partners to help ensure that food distributions and wellness activities are organized, welcoming, and delivered effectively.   Key Responsibilities - Support the operation and maintenance of FLIPANY’s three food pantry markets and community food distribution programs. - Ensure food distribution activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner at assigned locations. - Assist with recruiting and engaging community members in food pantry markets and wellness initiatives. - Support schools, churches, and community locations participating in food security and wellness initiatives. - Coordinate and provide direction to volunteers and students during food distribution activities. - Serve as a liaison between FLIPANY and assigned community sites, maintaining positive relationships with staff, volunteers, participants, and community partners. - Administer participant registration and check-in processes, including QR codes and electronic forms. - Administer pre- and post-program surveys and other required documentation. - Collect, organize, and accurately enter participant and program data into FLIPANY’s data management systems. - Maintain accurate and organized records to support grant requirements, program deliverables, and reporting. - Assist with gathering participant feedback, success stories, quotes, and other information demonstrating program impact. - Support outreach and marketing efforts for food pantry markets and wellness initiatives. - Assist with creating flyers, postcards, presentations, banners, website updates, and other outreach materials. - Take and organize program photos and maintain files on the shared drive. - Assist with community outreach and relationship-building with food banks, grocers, nonprofits, schools, healthcare providers, and other community partners. - Support presentations and engagement activities with community stakeholders, including health departments, school boards, healthcare professionals, dietitians, and parent groups. - Manage assigned tasks and deliverables independently while meeting established deadlines and monthly program goals. - Submit required invoices and documentation in accordance with established procedures and deadlines. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field OR a high school diploma/equivalent with at least three years of relevant experience. - Experience in public health, community health, food security, nonprofit programs, social services, education, data management, or a related field preferred. - Experience working with data collection, data entry, surveys, spreadsheets, databases, or program documentation. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. - Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and program deliverables. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and take initiative while also collaborating effectively with a team. - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams. - Ability to work effectively with diverse communities, volunteers, families, and community partners. Benefits FLIPANY offers a comprehensive employment package that includes: - Health insurance with a portion of the premium paid by FLIPANY - IRA employer match of up to 3% after one year of employment - Paid time off - Additional benefits in accordance with FLIPANY policies Additional Requirements - Valid driver’s license required. - Must be available to work approximately 10–15 hours per week. - Must be available to work in person every Wednesday from 12:00 PM–5:30 PM at Deerfield Beach: Deerfield Beach High School from 12:30–3:30 PM followed by the Middle School from 3:30–5:30 PM. - Remaining 5–10 hours may be completed remotely/flexibly, subject to program needs and required team collaboration. - Some remote work hours may need to occur during established team/office hours to support communication and collaboration. - Must be comfortable working directly with community members, volunteers, students, families, and community partners. - Must be comfortable supporting hands-on food distribution activities, including setup, distribution, and breakdown. - Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food distribution. - Must be able to lift, carry, and move food, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Must be able to meet established deadlines and maintain timely, accurate program and grant documentation.
