Role & Responsibilities As the Assistant Store Manager, you partner closely with the Store Manager to drive business performance, lead and develop the team, and deliver an elevated client experience. You play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the store, supporting sales growth, operational excellence, and luxury brand standards. Through coaching, motivation, and leading by example, you foster a high-performing, client-focused culture aligned to the brand. You support talent development through ongoing feedback, training, and succession planning, while driving client engagement, clilenteling initiatives and long-term relationship building to strengthen brand loyalty. In partnership with the Store Manager, you analyze key performance indicators, identify growth opportunities, and ensure a seamless omnichannel experience with strong execution across visual merchandising, operations, and service excellence. Sales & Client Experience - Support and drive store performance, consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals and KPI targets - Lead by example on the floor delivering a welcoming, elevated, and personalized client experience while modeling strong selling, wardrobing, and client engagement - Support the overall health of the store by driving organic traffic, conversion - Build and maintain a strong client base through consistent outreach and follow-up - In the absence of the Store Manager, serve as Manager on Duty, ensuring the store runs optimally and the team is fully supported throughout the day - Ensure customer engagement across all relevant platforms; i.e. Enrollment in Jenni Kayne Rewards, Social Media Channels, etc. Team Leadership & Development - Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members in partnership with the Store Manager and Director of Training and Development to foster team consistency and readiness - Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support - Help foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment - Lead by example in upholding company values, policies, and expectations - Step in as Manager on Duty (MOD) when Store Manager is not present Operations & Inventory Management - Assist in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all operational standards - Maintain operational excellence across POS transactions, cash handling, loss prevention, and adherence to company policies - Support inventory management through accurate stock control, efficient stockroom organization, and coordination with Stock Associates to ensure timely processing of deliveries and seamless product flow - Assist with scheduling, payroll tracking, and time-off coordination in line with business needs, ensuring optimal staffing and operational efficiency Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards - Partner with Store Manager and Visuals Lead to maintain store presentation and merchandising standards - Support execution of floor sets, window displays, and seasonal updates - Ensure the store environment reflects the Jenni Kayne brand at all times - Assist with in-store events and visual execution to drive traffic and sales Business & Communication - Communicate daily business insights, sales performance, and team feedback to Store Manager - Assist with implementing company initiatives and directives to drive results - Support local community outreach and store events to build brand awareness - Maintain clear, professional communication with cross-functional partners Job Requirements - 2+ years of retail experience, preferably in a leadership or key holder role - Strong understanding of retail operations, sales, and customer experience - Proven ability to coach and support team development - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset - Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak periods - Experience with POS and inventory management systems; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred - Ability to lift and move objects (20+ pounds) and perform physical retail tasks as needed Additional Notes: This job description is not all inclusive. The annual base salary range for this position is $58,240 - $62,400. The base salary is determined by experience, education, skills, and location.
