About the role

MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions https://adsknews.autodesk.com/en/views/inside-autodesk-operations-solutions/, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.
Sales cycles in industrial software stall when prospects can't see themselves in the product. As a Solutions Consultant, you close that gap — building custom demos, loading real customer data into trial environments, and translating complex maintenance workflows into a clear value story for operators, plant managers, and executives alike.
You'll join MaintainX's Solutions Consulting team as the technical partner to our Mid-Market Account Executives. The team owns everything technical between first call and signed contract: discovery, demos, RFPs, questionnaires, trials and technical validation.
You'll also be the product expert the sales team leans on. When AEs have a tough technical question, you're the resource. When the demo library needs updating after a product release, you keep it current. When a junior rep is pitching a new vertical, you're the one who sharpens their positioning.
The role
- Run discovery with Account Executives to map each prospect's workflows, pain points and decision-makers, then build the demo and evaluation plan around them.
- Deliver tailored demos and hands-on trials, loading the customer's own asset data so stakeholders see their operation in MaintainX.
- Lead technical validation and proof-of-concept work across multi-stakeholder cycles, answering product, security and integration questions accurately so deals don't stall.
- Partner with a Professional Services on customer-specific integrations with third-party software when a deal requires it.
- Keep demos, content and sales collateral current as the product ships (updates land about three times a week), and coach Account Executives on product knowledge and positioning.
You'll work alongside product marketing, product management, engineering, implementation and support, and you'll bring what you hear from customers back to those teams. At 6-12 months, you will support Mid-Market evaluations end to end, Account Executives will bring you into deals early, and the customer feedback you collect is shaping product and messaging.
About you
Must-haves:
- 3+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, implementation or solutions building
- Experience working in, or selling into, manufacturing, industrial operations or warehouse environments, with real exposure to operational workflows
- A track record running multi-stakeholder evaluations from discovery through demo to technical validation
- Skill at adjusting your approach for a technician, a plant manager and a finance/executive leader in the same deal
- Confidence presenting to a mixed room and holding its attention
- Organization and attention to detail across several live deals at once
This role is responsible for managing and supporting a customer portfolio based primarily in English-speaking markets (US/English Canada), requiring daily verbal and written communication in English with those customers.
This role will also involve travel for customer on-sites.
Nice to have:
- Experience with CMMS, ERP or facility operations software
- Fluency in French and/or Portuguese or another language
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Opine or similar sales tooling
Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.
