Fairport, NY is the headquarters for the Radionix sales & marketing organization in the United States and serves as the primary site for research and development, engineering, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems, including state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, software, communications and more. 
Position Summary
Radionix is seeking a motivated and hands-on Engineering Technician to support product validation, compliance testing, and test fixture development. This role will work closely with Quality Engineering, Development Engineering, and Regulatory teams to execute product testing, prepare test environments, support UL pre-compliance assessments, and document test results. The ideal candidate is technically curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working with electronic hardware, test equipment, and product documentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute hardware and product validation testing according to established test procedures and requirements.
- Read, follow, and document test cases using tools such as Jira, Xray, or similar test management systems.
- Assemble, modify, and maintain test fixtures and test environments.
- Support UL, regulatory, and pre-compliance testing activities.
- Perform electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other laboratory equipment.
- Solder and rework electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs), including small electronic components.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Review product manuals, specifications, and requirements to understand product functionality and expected behavior.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting hardware and test failures.
- Accurately record test results, observations, and defects.
- Support continuous improvement of test procedures, fixtures, and validation processes.
- Maintain organized laboratory equipment, test assets, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (AAS) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic principles.
- Ability to solder and perform basic electronic assembly and rework.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble and modify test fixtures.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to read, follow, and execute defined test procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Desired Characteristics
- Experience with RF Compliance testing and familiarity working in anechoic chambers

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $53,000-$65,000 annually. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
