ABOUT ASSEMBLED
Assembled helps companies scale great customer support. As consumers, we’ve all been there. You need help, you’re stuck on hold or going in circles with an AI, and your problem still isn’t solved.
Behind great support is a complex operational problem: thousands of people and AI agents working across teams, time zones, and products as new problems emerge. Assembled gives support leaders the tools to manage that complexity, from AI agents that resolve customer issues to software that forecasts demand, builds schedules, and makes intraday adjustments.
More than 400 companies, including DoorDash, Salesforce, Stripe, and Sephora, trust Assembled https://www.assembled.com/customers. We've raised $71M from NEA, Emergence Capital, Stripe, and Basis Set Ventures and have offices in San Francisco, New York, and London.
THE ROLE
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your core responsibility will be generating high-quality pipeline across a focused set of enterprise accounts and helping us raise the bar for how we prospect.
We believe SDRs are more critical than ever in the AI era, and that the role is best AI-enhanced, not AI-replaced. You’ll use AI fluently to research accounts, personalize outreach, and scale your impact while bringing the judgment, commercial instincts, and product expertise that technology alone can’t replicate.
This is not just another SDR role. One of our cultural values is to “get on the plane.” We win by meeting customers face-to-face, so you’ll represent Assembled at events, trade shows, and dinners. You’ll run discovery calls, get exposure to demos, and have room to influence how we target accounts, test messaging, and build outbound motions. Today, 40% of our Account Executives started as SDRs.
Our SDRs get to sell into teams at companies like Canva, Ramp, Robinhood, and Stripe, where the problems we solve are tied to how some of the world’s biggest support organizations actually run. You’ll be prospecting into complex accounts, learning how large organizations operate, and opening conversations around meaningful operational problems rather than just pushing for a meeting.
We’re looking for someone who has already shown they can perform in a goal-oriented sales environment and is ready for more complexity and ownership.
You will report to our SDR Manager. We’re in-person 5 days a week from our bright, airy offices in the Mission in San Francisco and Chelsea Market in New York.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Generate high-quality pipeline across a focused set of enterprise accounts
- Build account penetration strategies by researching complex organizations, identifying the right stakeholders, and finding compelling reasons to engage
- Prospect across cold calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and other channels while balancing thoughtful personalization with consistent execution
- Use AI and automation to research faster, spot account signals, and scale what works without sacrificing judgment
- Run discovery calls and turn early conversations into qualified opportunities
- Test messaging, targeting, and outbound plays based on what you’re learning from enterprise prospects
- Attend in-person events, conferences, and customer meetups to create opportunities and build relationships
- Partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps to break into priority accounts and improve outbound strategy
- Bring ideas back to the team and help make the SDR playbook better
ABOUT YOU
- You’ve carried a real sales target as an SDR for at least 1 year and can tell us exactly what you owned, how you performed, and what you did to drive the result
- You know how to break into complex accounts: figuring out where to start, who matters, and what will actually get someone’s attention
- You’re comfortable cold calling, hearing “no,” and staying sharp when a sequence, account, or month isn’t going your way
- You don’t just follow the playbook. You notice what’s working, change what isn’t, and can explain why
- You take feedback seriously and can point to something you changed that made you a better seller
- You work well with AEs and Marketing, share what you’re learning, and aren’t afraid to push back when you see things differently
- You want to keep getting better at the craft of sales and grow into a high-performing Account Executive
