About the role

SOCIAL CONTENT CREATOR Blossom Health exists to solve the mental health epidemic in America by partnering with psychiatrists to expand access to affordable, timely, clinically-effective mental healthcare. Our AI-native care platform is loved by hundreds of clinicians and tens of thousands of patients. We’re a Series A company with $20M+ raised from Headline, Village Global, and the founders of General Catalyst, Flatiron Health, Sword Health, Fay, Elemy, Zip, Blank Street, Assured, Bridge, Birches Health, and Enzo Health. THE ROLE: We’re looking for a Founding Social & Content Creator to build Blossom’s social presence into a major engine for brand awareness, trust, and growth. This is not a traditional social media manager role. We’re looking for someone who can take an idea from a blank page to something people actually want to watch, share, save, and talk about. You’ll own Blossom’s organic presence across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook from end to end: developing concepts, filming, editing, publishing, engaging with our community, studying performance, and figuring out what to make next. You’ll also create UGC-style content that can cross over into paid acquisition, working closely with our marketing team to develop hooks, concepts, and creative variations for Meta and TikTok. This is a highly autonomous role. We want someone who has strong creative instincts, moves quickly, understands internet culture, and is excited to build our platforms rather than inherit an existing playbook. WHY YOU SHOULD WORK HERE: - 🚀 Build something from the ground up: You’ll have the opportunity to shape how one of the fastest-growing mental healthcare companies in the country shows up online - 🎥 Actually create: This isn't a role where you brief agencies all day. You'll have the autonomy to ideate, shoot, edit, publish, experiment, and iterate yourself - 📈 Your work will be measurable: We want to build social into a real growth channel, not just a place where we post company updates - 🧠 Make mental healthcare interesting: Turn complicated, sensitive, and sometimes intimidating topics into content people actually want to consume and share - ⚡ Move fast: Test ideas quickly, learn what works, double down on winners, and kill what doesn't - 🤝 High trust and autonomy: We care about results and creative judgment. You'll have significant ownership over what Blossom looks and sounds like online WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Own Blossom’s day-to-day presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging social platforms - Develop Blossom’s organic social strategy, recurring content formats, creative concepts, and publishing cadence - Concept, script, film, edit, and publish short-form video from start to finish - Be comfortable appearing on camera and pulling other members of the Blossom team into content - Build repeatable content franchises that audiences recognize and want to come back to - Identify trends, conversations, hooks, and formats early and figure out how Blossom can participate without sounding forced or corporate - Create UGC-style paid creative for Meta and TikTok, including multiple hooks, cuts, and calls to action for testing - Work with creators, clinicians, patients, and members of our team to source and produce compelling content - Manage and grow our social community through comments, DMs, and conversations - Navigate mental-health content thoughtfully while following privacy, clinical review, and escalation guidelines - Track performance across views, reach, watch time, shares, saves, follower growth, profile visits, and site traffic - Use performance data to constantly refine what we create and where we invest our time - Stay obsessed with what is happening on the internet and continuously experiment with new formats, platforms, creators, and ideas YOU'LL BE A GOOD FIT IF: - You have 1–3 years of experience creating content or running social for a brand, startup, agency, creator, or your own audience - You have personally grown a social account to 50K+ followers or can show comparable evidence of meaningful audience growth - You’ve created content that has generated 1M+ organic views within a 90-day period - You have a portfolio of short-form content that you personally concepted, filmed, and edited - You understand why certain videos take off and can break down the hook, pacing, format, audience, and distribution behind them - You’re fluent in TikTok, Instagram Reels, Stories, Facebook, and short-form internet culture - You can edit quickly in CapCut, Premiere, or similar tools - You understand what makes organic content different from paid creative and can make content that works in both environments - You’re comfortable on camera and comfortable directing other people on camera - You’re highly self-directed. You don't need someone handing you a content calendar every Monday - You have strong creative judgment and aren't afraid to test weird ideas - You move quickly and would rather publish, learn, and iterate than spend two weeks debating a single post - You have good judgment around sensitive topics and understand that mental healthcare requires a higher bar for accuracy and trust - You’re authorized to work in the United States - You’re excited to be in-person in New York City 5 days a week Bonus: You’ve built an audience from zero, created paid social ads that converted, worked with creators or influencers, or created content in healthcare, wellness, consumer, or another regulated category. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: - Internet native - you understand what people are watching, sharing, talking about, and why - Creator first - you don't just manage content; you make it - Highly self-directed - you can turn a broad goal into ideas, content, experiments, and results without waiting for instructions - Creative and analytical - you care equally about making something great and understanding whether it worked - High velocity - you can produce a lot, learn quickly, and keep raising the bar - Strong taste - you know when something feels fresh, interesting, funny, useful, or painfully corporate - Comfortable experimenting - you're willing to try ten ideas to find the one that takes off - Ownership mindset - you think about Blossom's audience and platforms like they're your own - Humble - you care more about making great work and growing the brand than getting credit for every idea WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE: We want someone who is excited by an ambitious goal: turn Blossom into a mental-health brand people actually want to follow. In your first few months, that means rapidly testing formats, establishing Blossom's voice, finding repeatable content winners, and building meaningful organic momentum. We aren't hiring someone to simply keep our feeds active. We're hiring someone who wants to prove they can build an audience from the ground up. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: - $70,000–$85,000 base salary, based on experience - Meaningful equity ownership - Significant growth opportunities as Blossom and the marketing team scale - Beautiful, sunshine and snack-filled office in the heart of Flatiron, Manhattan - Health, dental, and vision insurance - A focus on outcomes, not hours - Team outings and offsites - Unlimited PTO
