Job Description The New York Times' Marketing team is looking for a Manager, Event Creative to be the operational engine of the event marketing campaign and production assets. You will oversee the daily creative workflow — from receiving direction from the Director to ensuring the Creative team delivers the right assets, on brief, on brand, and on time. They are the connective tissue between strategy and execution, translating campaign priorities into clear assignments and keeping every moving part accountable. Responsibilities: - Be the primary daily point of direction for the Creative team — assigning work, setting task-level priorities, and reviewing output against the brief and brand standards. - Translate campaign direction from the Director into clear, applicable briefs and assignments for the Creative team and external vendors. - Build the Marketing Monday Board — the central project management tool tracking all creative tasks, owners, statuses, and deadlines across every active campaign. - Manage the creative production timeline for each event, from initial brief through final asset delivery. - Coordinate daily workflow across internal creative teams, external vendors, and agency partners to keep production moving without bottlenecks. - Brief the NYT Communications Systems team on landing page and event page updates and manage the production timeline for those deliverables. - Be the primary daily contact for external creative vendors and production agencies, under the strategic direction of the Director and Production Lead. - Manage the review and approval workflow for all campaign assets — scheduling reviews, coordinating stakeholder feedback, and tracking revisions to completion. - Manage the timeline, asset coordination, and deliverable tracking for the post-event sizzle reel in collaboration with the Copywriter and Director. - Demonstrate support and understanding of our value of journalistic independence and a strong commitment to our mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in creative production, project management, or campaign operations - 3+ years of experience coordinating review and approval workflows across multiple company partners - Track record managing complex multi-asset campaigns with many simultaneous moving parts - Experience briefing and managing external vendors and creative agencies daily - Process-minded with the instinct to create structure where it is missing - Working knowledge of the full marketing asset landscape: digital, print, video, social, email, and experiential Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to live event or in-show production - Experience with events, media, or a marketing environment - Proficiency with project management tools — Monday.com REQ-020633 Additional Compensation and Benefits For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
