We are developing a next-generation C-UAS Multi-Agent System that integrates sensors, effectors, and multiple agents into a coherent system for monitoring, coordination, and control. Our system combines data from radar, EO/IR cameras, passive RF sensors, OSINT, and other sources to detect, track, and understand objects and activities in real time. We are looking for a Sensor Fusion Engineer who enjoys working hands-on with real sensor data and takes ownership from sensor integration through algorithms, testing, and deployment. You will turn heterogeneous and imperfect sensor data into reliable tracks and actionable situational awareness. Tasks - Develop and implement multi-sensor fusion and tracking algorithms - Integrate data from radar, cameras, passive RF, OSINT, and other sensors - Develop methods for sensor registration, calibration, synchronization, data association, and track fusion - Work with real-world sensor data, including recording, replay, visualization, and analysis - Investigate sensor and tracking problems and identify their root causes - Develop tools and processes to evaluate and improve fusion performance - Integrate fusion components with the wider C-UAS system and downstream applications - Take ownership of components from concept through implementation, integration, testing, and deployment Requirements Essential - Professional experience with C++ - Practical experience in sensor fusion, perception, tracking, or multi-sensor integration - Hands-on experience working with real sensor data - Experience with multi-object tracking and methods such as Kalman filters, EKF/UKF, or related approaches - Pragmatic engineering mindset and ability to solve problems independently - Strong sense of ownership and initiative - Ability to work effectively across disciplines - Fluent in English; German is a plus Valuable - Experience with radar, EO/IR, passive RF, ADS-B, or OSINT - Experience with track-to-track and measurement-level fusion - Experience with geospatial data and coordinate transformations - Experience with ROS2 - Skills for data analysis and visualization - Experience with Linux, Docker, Git, and CI/CD - Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, defense, C-UAS, or other mission-critical systems - Experience with simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and field testing What we are looking for You like getting close to the actual data and the actual system. You enjoy investigating unexpected sensor behavior, debugging complex problems, and turning experiments into robust production software. You are proactive and take ownership. When something does not work, you investigate it, identify the problem, drive the solution, and verify that it works in the real world. At Alpine Eagle, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunity. We welcome applications from all individuals regardless of ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, or sexual identity.
