About the role
The Opportunity
Join a team where passion meets performance and your contributions make a real impact. Our People team has been in the top 5 of Great Place to Work (GPTW) Ireland for the last 6 years, and we are recognised as a Great Place to Work for Tech, for Women and for Wellbeing, as well as a Great Place to Work in Europe. We care about creating a culture where people and the business both thrive, and you will play a big part in helping us keep raising the bar.
This role is a great mix of HR Business Partnering and Centre of Excellence (COE) work: you will be a hands-on HR Business Partner to your Belfast-based businesses and selected Dublin managers, and you will also own COE work that shapes the employee experience across Distilled.
This is a fast paced role for a Senior HR Business Partner who wants to make a real impact in a best in class team. You will have proven experience in a fast paced tech company, with end-to-end ownership of key people projects, and the drive to hold our managers to a high standard.
AI is a way of working in our HR team. We use it every day to work smarter and faster, and you will be encouraged to embrace it and find new ways to apply it in your work. You will thrive on innovation and embrace cutting edge HR practices. Your ideas and creativity will help shape the future of our dynamic tech organisation.
How You’ll Create with Impact
First and foremost you will be a hands-on and supportive HR Business Partner who will;
- Build solid relationships with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing HR and employee relations expertise and support to achieve strategic objectives.
- Challenge and coach your managers to be the best managers they can be, holding a high bar on performance, accountability and people leadership.
- Be a hands-on collaborator with your people managers and use people data, engagement results and HR metrics to identify trends, inform decision-making and provide actionable insights..
- Support your people managers and the HR team by conducting interviews to ensure we hire the best talent that adds to our company culture.
- Support the HR team and other HRBPs to consistently drive and promote a progressive, impactful and engaging workplace culture.
Your Business Partnering remit
- Partner with our 2 Belfast-based businesses (approx. 45 employees), with monthly trips to Belfast plus additional travel to support hiring and in-person HR events.
- Business partner with a number of managers in our Dublin office.
- Build the NI HR offering: this is a start-up style role, starting with the creation of NI policies.
- Knowledge of NI employment law is an advantage but not a requirement.
On top of business partnering, you will own Centre of Excellence (COE) work. Your COEs are currently HR Systems, ERGs and Dublin Office Management.
- Take end-to-end ownership of your COE areas, setting the objectives, leading improvements and projects, measuring impact and continuously improving the employee experience.
- Work with all other COE owners to ensure the managers you partner with are availing of the full HR offering.
- Our COEs are: L&D, Engagement, Performance, Brand, Policies, TA, Comp & Ben, H&S, HR Ops and Wellness.
