About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate quotations for custom-engineered products and solutions. This role serves as a critical link between customers, sales, engineering, and operations by ensuring project requirements are thoroughly evaluated and priced appropriately. The ideal candidate enjoys analyzing technical information, interpreting specifications, and working through complex requirements to develop timely and competitive proposals. Candidates must have the ability to quickly assess situations, exercise good judgment, and understand the interdependencies of project elements and anticipate how modifications will affect the overall system, equipment, schedule, and project objectives. Key Responsibilities - Review customer inquiries, specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to determine project scope - Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for custom engineered products and systems in a timely manner with a focus on accuracy and priority - Update published price list and discount list - Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales teams to evaluate product requirements and production costs - Analyze material, labor, machining, assembly, and testing requirements to develop competitive pricing - Utilize ERP system to maintain quote records, cost, and sales prices - Perform cost rollup of completed engineering packages - Support Sales by providing technical and commercial information related to quotations Required Qualifications - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel   Preferred Qualifications - Experience preparing estimates, quotations, proposals, or bids in a manufacturing, industrial, or oil and gas environment - Experience working in manufacturing is a plus - Experience interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications - Familiarity with ERP systems and cost analysis - Understanding of machining, fabrication, assembly, or manufacturing processes - Experience supporting custom-engineered or made-to-order products Why Join Welker? - Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Leadership teams - Gain exposure to custom product development and manufacturing operations - Play a key role in winning new business and supporting customer success - Develop technical, commercial, and project management skills - Join a stable, family-owned company with a strong reputation and long-term growth Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary based on experience, education, and potential - Health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance - 401(k) with company match - Paid time off and paid holidays - Tuition reimbursement Additional Requirements - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship - Must successfully complete a drug screen, physical, and background check Apply Today If you're a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing information, solving problems, and supporting customers through technical solutions, we'd love to hear from you.
