IMPROVING ACCESS TO HOUSING AND HEALTHCARE TRANSFORMING ESSENTIAL SERVICES WITH AI-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS EliseAI is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal team and play a pivotal role in supporting all legal matters for a rapidly growing SaaS company at the forefront of AI innovation in housing and healthcare. Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role offers the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of legal areas, from complex commercial contracting to regulatory compliance and product-related projects. The Legal Counsel will manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing speed and precision as needed. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating customer, partner, and vendor contracts; establishing scalable contracting processes; leading regulatory and compliance initiatives; tracking evolving laws; and delivering training to ensure company-wide compliance. The role also involves supporting HR, corporate governance, and operational matters, as well as engaging directly with customers and cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctor (JD) from a top law school, admission to practice in New York (or eligibility to waive in), and 2–5 years of legal experience at a leading firm. Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to distill complex regulations and partner effectively with Sales and Finance.
