In this role, you will turn existing designs for our next tool generation into a working prototype, bringing together hardware, software, and testing. Your goal is to deliver a prototype ready for a customer demonstration. Your Responsibilities - Assess the current project status, including design readiness, component availability, procurement progress, and outstanding development work - Build and maintain an implementation plan covering scope, milestones, responsibilities, resources, and acceptance criteria - Lead prototype realization from procurement and assembly through hardware and software integration, testing, and customer demonstration - Coordinate Engineering, Software, Procurement, Assembly & Test, and Product Management to align priorities and resolve dependencies - Track progress, costs, and resource needs, and actively manage risks, changes, and technical or organizational roadblocks - Coordinate integration and verification activities to ensure prototype performance and readiness for the customer demonstration - Provide clear progress reports and decision proposals to the Steering Committee and drive agreed actions to completion - A degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience - Several years of project management experience in complex equipment development, preferably in semiconductor equipment or a comparable high-tech environment - Experience delivering projects involving hardware, software, system integration, and prototype testing - A sound understanding of development, procurement, and assembly processes and their dependencies - A structured, hands-on approach and the ability to establish priorities when information is incomplete - The ability to lead cross-functional teams, establish clear ownership, and drive delivery without direct line authority - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical progress, risks, and decisions clearly in English What you can look forward to: - Career & Development: Exciting opportunities to grow professionally and personally - in an international environment - Team Culture: Dynamic, collegial and open to new ideas - together we are writing the future - Health & well-being: Company doctor and psychologist - support for your health - Bonus program: All employees benefit from our success - together we achieve more - Job bike: Environmentally friendly commuting and staying fit - with us you can lease your bike at a reasonable price - Events & team building: Summer party, business run, cool team events - we celebrate our successes together - Employee discounts: From car washes to wellness days - benefit from many discounts - Flexibility: Flexible working hours, the option to work from home and workation - Catering: Fresh fruit and drinks right in the office and a subsidized canteen within walking distance - Mobility: Very good public transport connections and discounted parking with direct access from the office to the garage With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from 70.000 € (plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe).
