Data & Reporting Solutions: - Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and reports covering portfolio performance, cash flows, risk, and credit metrics. - Drive standardization and reusability of reports, data models, and metrics across the organization. - Ensure high levels of data accuracy, consistency, and transparency in all BI outputs. - Champion automation of recurring reporting to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk. Data Architecture & Continuous Improvement: - Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to shape data models, pipelines, and BI architecture. - Define and enforce BI best practices, including data modelling standards, naming conventions, and documentation. - Identify opportunities to improve BI tooling, processes, and performance. - Stay abreast of developments in BI tools, analytics techniques, and data visualisation best practices, and apply them pragmatically. Required Experience & Skills: - 10+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or data roles, ideally within asset management, private markets, or financial services. - BI Tools: Expert-level experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik, including enterprise-scale deployments. - Data Platform: - Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably Azure: Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory). - Familiarity with managing BI datasets and refresh strategies in enterprise environments. - SQL: Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, optimization, and data validation. - Data Modelling: Strong experience designing analytical data models (e.g. star and snowflake schemas).   ETL & Data Pipelines: - - Strong experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, including incremental data loads and data transformation strategies. - Experience with modern data tooling (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, dbt, or equivalent). - Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including fact/dimension modelling, slowly changing dimensions, and historical tracking - - Application & Data Integration: - Experience integrating BI solutions with application backends (e.g., .NET APIs) and frontends (e.g., SPA frameworks such as Vue or React) - Familiarity with embedded analytics approaches (e.g., Power BI Embedded or custom dashboarding solutions). - Strong understanding of data access patterns, pagination, filtering, and performance considerations in application-driven reporting. - Excel: Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query; VBA experience beneficial. - Experience optimizing BI and SQL workloads for large datasets (millions+ rows) Governance: Experience implementing data quality controls and reporting standards.
