RONT-END ENGINEERING LEAD Job Title:                       Upper Intermediate .Net Developer ROLE OVERVIEW Role Overview As an Upper Intermediate .NET Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across various industries, partnering with experienced technology professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional value to our clients through innovative, high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, enhance, debug, and refactor software applications using Microsoft .NET technologies and associated frameworks. - Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions in line with business and technical requirements. - Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support. - Perform unit, integration, and functional testing to ensure solution quality and reliability. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, ensuring root causes are addressed. - Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to maintain coding quality and knowledge sharing. - Create, maintain, and consume technical documentation, including specifications, user stories, UML diagrams, wireframes, and architecture documentation. - Follow established coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices, while contributing to their continuous improvement. - Use source control and branching strategies to manage code changes effectively. - Configure, optimise, deploy, and support applications across development, testing, and production environments. - Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Scrum Teams, and stakeholders to deliver business value. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, effort estimation, sprint planning, and task prioritisation. - Support system audits, security reviews, and compliance activities where required. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers and less experienced consultants. - Contribute to organisational knowledge sharing, innovation initiatives, and internal intellectual property (IP). - Identify potential business opportunities and support business development activities where appropriate. - Actively participate in company and department initiatives, events, and professional development activities. Knowlegde & Skills   Technical Knowledge - Solid proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem (.NET Framework and .NET Core/.NET). - Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum. - Knowledge of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns. - Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing frameworks. - Strong understanding and practical experience with source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps. - Working knowledge of cloud computing concepts and modern cloud-native development practices. - Experience with Microsoft Azure services and platform capabilities. - Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services integration. - Proficiency in relational database design and development using Microsoft SQL Server or similar technologies. - Understanding of application performance optimisation and troubleshooting techniques. - Knowledge of security best practices in software development. - Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles. - Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework/library such as Angular, React, or Vue.js. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Minimum Requirements and skills   Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent industry-recognised certifications are advantageous. Experience - Minimum of 4 years' software development experience using Microsoft .NET technologies. - Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments. - Experience developing enterprise applications and contributing to multiple phases of the SDLC. - Experience working with Azure cloud technologies and modern software delivery practices is advantageous. Professional Development - Maintain and enhance technical competency through ongoing learning. - Complete at least one relevant certification, skills programme, or technical training course annually. Additional Requirements - Strong understanding of software architecture principles and solution design. - Ability to mentor and support junior team members. - Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Willingness to contribute to organisational initiatives, knowledge sharing, and internal innovation activities. - Participate in relevant company and departmental events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
