At NCS Australia, we’re the challenger alternative in technology services and consulting. With more than 47 years of Australian heritage, we partner with governments and leading organisations to solve complex challenges, embrace new opportunities and deliver outcomes that make a real difference.
Our people bring together expertise across technology, consulting, delivery, operations, sales and corporate functions. We work collaboratively, challenge the status quo and give our people the opportunity to make an impact — for our clients, our communities and each other.
We are seeking an experienced Data Product Manager to lead enterprise-wide data governance and data management initiatives, ensuring effective data controls, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the organisation. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will drive the development and implementation of data management practices, including data retention, data minimisation, access management, and data lifecycle management.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing data management strategies and roadmaps, leading the delivery of data-related projects in an Agile environment, and embedding effective governance frameworks across the organisation. You will manage project planning, prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and executive reporting while monitoring the effectiveness of data controls and governance outcomes. The successful candidate will champion best-practice data governance and data literacy, enabling the organisation to reduce data risk, improve compliance, and strengthen its overall data management capability.
- Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Analytics environments.
- Proven experience delivering data-related projects and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data controls, including data retention, access management, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of privacy, risk, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience with enterprise data governance or compliance programs is highly desirable.
