Construction Litigation Attorney Location: Houston, TX | On-Site | Full-Time | Up to $140,000 About the Opportunity A growing Houston-based law firm focused on construction law and complex commercial disputes is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team. This role is heavily litigation-focused and offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution while representing contractors, subcontractors, property owners, developers, and businesses involved in construction and commercial disputes. The firm is open to attorneys with construction litigation experience as well as candidates from commercial litigation, insurance litigation, real estate litigation, civil litigation, or other litigation-focused practice areas. Key Responsibilities • Manage litigation matters from intake through settlement, arbitration, or trial • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and legal correspondence • Conduct legal research and case analysis • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances • Conduct and defend depositions • Develop litigation strategies and manage case progression • Review contracts, project documents, and dispute-related records • Communicate directly with clients regarding legal strategy, case status, and risk assessments • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff on active matters Required Qualifications • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Active Texas Bar License in good standing • Minimum 1 year of post-licensure attorney experience • Strong litigation experience • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills • Strong organizational and case management abilities • Ability to work independently with limited supervision • Ability to work full-time on-site in Houston Preferred Qualifications • Construction litigation experience • Commercial litigation experience • Insurance litigation experience • Real estate litigation experience • Arbitration and mediation experience • Trial preparation or courtroom advocacy experience • Experience managing an independent litigation docket • Spanish language proficiency Compensation & Benefits • Base salary up to $140,000 • Full-time direct-hire position • Stable and growing law firm • Significant litigation and courtroom exposure • Opportunity to work on complex construction and commercial disputes • Long-term career growth potential Ideal Backgrounds We welcome attorneys with experience in: • Construction Litigation • Commercial Litigation • Business Litigation • Civil Litigation • Insurance Litigation • First-Party Property Litigation • Real Estate Litigation • Trial Litigation #HireFinder #LI-PROMOTED #LI-Onsite
