ABOUT AXIOM MATH
Axiom Math is building an AI mathematician capable of mathematical discoveries at scales and speeds previously unimaginable, the first step toward a self-improving, superintelligent reasoning system.
Our verified AI reasoning system, AxiomProver, was the first to score perfectly on the Putnam, solve open math research problems autonomously, publish its work in peer-reviewed math journals, and formalize the influential 246 theorem, among other AI math milestones.
Now Axiom is at a pivotal moment. We are applying the stack we built for AxiomProver to verified code generation across hardware and software: AI-written code that ships with a formal proof that is correct. As AI writes more of the world’s code, formal verification is how you know it can be trusted.
Axiom is led by CEO Carina Hong and backed by a $200M Series A led by Menlo Ventures. We are scaling fast, and the business side is being built right now. That is where you come in.
THE ROLE
Axiom is taking verified code generation to market. The MBA Intern works directly with Axiom's leadership on that go-to-market push and the strategic and operational questions that come with scaling a frontier AI company. You will work in the Founder's Office and work closely with the CEO, CTO, and CoS.
This is not a rotational program or a research project on the side. You will be immersed into the day to day and will present your recommendations to leadership, and see them put into practice. Expect a high bar, fast feedback and a lot of autonomy.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
Projects will be scoped to your strengths and the company's priorities at the time. Likely areas include:
- Go-to-market and commercialization. Size and prioritize markets for verified reasoning, such as chip and software verification. Map customer segments, buyers and early design partners.
- Strategic partnerships. Support conversations with cloud and enterprise partners. Build briefing materials, partnership frameworks and follow-up plans for the CEO.
- Board and investor materials. Help build slide decks for board meetings, and help prepare board updates, metrics dashboards and investor narratives.
This internship is designed as a pathway to a full-time role. You'll close it out by presenting your work directly to our CEO and leadership team, a great opportunity to show what you've built.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- Currently enrolled in, or on leave from, a full-time MBA program and available to start immediately
- Excellent professional work ethics in a business, technical or operational role
- Consulting, finance, venture, product, strategy and operations backgrounds are all welcome
- Strong analytical skills: you can build a market model from scratch and defend every assumption
- Clear, concise writing and the ability to turn ambiguity into a structured recommendation
- Comfort working with a small team at startup speed, with little process and high standards
- First principle based thinking
- Ability to vibe code/build AI agents
Preferred
- Technical undergraduate degree (math, computer science, engineering, physics) or genuine fluency in how AI models are built and evaluated
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth technology company.
- Exposure to enterprise sales, deep tech or B2B go-to-market.
- Curiosity about mathematics and formal reasoning. You don't need to write proofs, but you should want to understand what our researchers do.
