An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated Pharmacist to be a part of our experienced team at Westmead Private Hospital on a permanent fulltime basis! As the Pharmacist, you will provide specialised medication management in the dispensary and clinical services to hospital wards. As the Clinical Pharmacist at Westmead Private Hospital, you will provide specialised medication management in the dispensary, prepare medications to be delivered to wards, manage routine dispensary duties as well as clinical services to hospital wards.
Being a hybrid site, we also have a retail end where we offer clinical services as community pharmacy which includes vaccination and electronic scripts. 
You'll work in a well-equipped hybrid hospital pharmacy where your expertise will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and quality healthcare delivery.
- Provide best practice pharmacy services and exceptional patient-centred care as part by ensuring medication safety and optimising medication management  
- Work closely with the hospital team to educate staff and counsel patients on medication usage 
- Cultivate a collaborative and positive teamwork culture that empowers everyone to excel 
- Prepare medications for in-patients and discharges, counselling hospital and community patients about their medications
- Daily pharmacy operations and help with dispensary stock management
- Provide vaccinations on retail end, dispense outpatient scrips and electronic prescriptions
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and medication reviews
- Collaborate with medical teams to optimise patient treatment plans
- Conduct medication reconciliation and discharge planning
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Mentor pharmacy students and junior staff members
- Participate in quality improvement initiativesWhat you’ll bring  
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA 
- High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of dispensing software 
- You love working in a collaborative team and thrive in a friendly working environment. 
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is highly regarded but not essential.
