If so, Truck Centers, Inc. may have the perfect opportunity for you! The Parts Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Parts department and fostering a culture of exceptional service to one another and our customers, knowledge, resourcefulness, and personal responsibility. What you'll do - Hire, train, coach, and evaluate the Parts team, and help each person build a career through ongoing training and development. - Handle the department schedule, operating budget, performance evaluations, corrective action plans, performance improvement plans, and inventory reports. - Lead the sales and warehousing teams in a fast-paced heavy-duty truck parts operation. - Work with the other department managers so internal jobs get their parts on time. - Track P&L statements, performance metrics, and cycle counts. Supervise periodic and annual inventory counts. - Recommend and enforce pricing strategy based on company goals, purchasing power, volume, and customer loyalty. - Manage invoicing accuracy, inventory levels, cores, warranty recovery, and obsolescence. - Approve departmental purchase orders and schedule expenditures with a lean management approach. - Build relationships with vendors and customers to grow market share, including hosting vendor and customer appreciation events. - Follow up with customers on order status, estimates, and routine sales calls. - Find ways to run the department more efficiently, cut waste, and forecast goals. - Keep up with company, DTNA, and OEM bulletins on new parts, product lines, recalls, failures, and industry trends, then train your team on any process or policy changes. - Make sure the department follows federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements.At TCI, our mission is "Driving America Forward Through Our Exceptional People."
