About the role

HRIS
Vaulted is a waste management company that removes carbon. We take organic waste that can pollute our environment above ground and safely inject it ultra deep underground—permanently removing carbon from the atmosphere while protecting local land, air, and water. Vaulted is based in Houston, San Francisco, and Kansas. With a growing team of 70+ people across the country, Vaulted signed the second largest carbon removal offtake ever with Microsoft in July 2025 and is rapidly expanding to new sites. Vaulted's proprietary technology builds on decades of expertise to deliver safe, durable carbon and waste management solutions now, at scale. Overview of the Role As an operator at Vaulted, you will be responsible for managing incoming truckloads of organic waste sources and processing this material with our machinery. You will operate, monitor, and maintain our equipment to facilitate the processing of the organic waste received onsite. You will strictly comply with the facility’s safety protocols and determine the safety of incoming material to ensure it does not contain inappropriate material. Ultimately, your work as a Vaulted Operator will help to slow climate change by sequestering organic waste that removes harmful Green House Gases (GHGs) from the atmosphere that would otherwise pollute the environment and local communities. What you will Bring This position requires roughly 45 hours of work per week with flexibility across all 7 days of the week. Candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed. To succeed in this role, and to help the company to succeed in our mission, the Operator should: Have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Be a team player. Collaborate with fellow operators and supervisors. Be open to joining a team that holds one another accountable and offers help when needed with a strong commitment to safety protocol. Follow supervisor instructions with close attention to detail while being able to work under minimal supervision at times. Be able to perform repetitive (yet important) tasks without losing focus. Quickly communicate with foreman and/or facility managers as issues with machinery and operations arise and problem solve to minimize downtime/maintain efficiency of the site. Exert physical effort in operating machinery and handling objects up to 50 pounds while being on one’s feet (and outside) throughout the day. Use motor coordination with one’s hands throughout the day (keyboarding, machine operation, etc.). Accept exposure to physical environments that involve dirt, odors, and noise during the workday and occasional weather extremes. Accept exposure to (rare) occupational risks (cuts, burns, exposure to fumes & airborne particles). Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screens and submit to random drug screening while employed.
