Leadership
  The Assistant General Manager of Overlook Lounge is responsible for supporting the overall leadership, financial performance, and daily operation of Wynn Las Vegas' luxury cocktail lounge experience. This role partners closely with the General Manager to oversee service execution, guest engagement, team development, operational standards, and profitability while ensuring every guest receives the exceptional hospitality synonymous with the Wynn brand. The Assistant General Manager serves as a visible leader, coaching and developing managers and front-line team members, driving operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of Forbes Five-Star service, beverage quality, cleanliness, safety, and compliance. The position requires a highly engaging hospitality professional who can balance strategic leadership with active floor presence in a fast-paced, luxury environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development - Assist the General Manager in directing all aspects of lounge operations, ensuring alignment with Wynn Las Vegas service standards and business objectives. - Lead, motivate, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and hourly team members to create a culture of excellence, accountability, and guest-centric service. - Conduct performance discussions, deliver meaningful coaching, and support succession planning initiatives. - Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment focused on engagement and retention. - Participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training of new team members.Guest Experience - Ensure delivery of exceptional luxury service standards and memorable guest experiences. - Actively engage with guests, VIPs, and repeat clientele to build relationships and resolve concerns proactively. - Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement action plans to continuously improve service performance. - Serve as a floor presence during business hours, special events, and peak operating periods.Operations Management - Oversee daily lounge operations, ensuring smooth execution of service, entertainment, reservations, and guest flow. - Ensure compliance with Wynn operational procedures, beverage standards, cash-handling protocols, and health and safety regulations. - Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere standards throughout all guest-facing and back-of-house areas. - Collaborate with security, facilities, entertainment, marketing, and food and beverage leadership teams to support operational needs. - Assist with planning and execution of special events, promotions, and high-profile guest experiences.Financial Management - Support department budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. - Monitor labor, beverage cost, operating expenses, revenue trends, and productivity metrics. - Identify opportunities to increase profitability while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction. - Assist in managing inventory controls, purchasing practices, and loss prevention efforts. - Analyze performance data and develop action plans to achieve departmental financial goals.Compliance & Safety - Ensure compliance with company policies, gaming regulations, liquor licensing requirements, and local, state, and federal laws. - Promote a safe work environment and ensure proper reporting and resolution of safety concerns. - Maintain compliance with responsible alcohol service practices and applicable food and beverage regulations. Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of progressive Food & Beverage or hospitality management experience in upscale, luxury, nightlife, lounge, restaurant, or resort environments. - Strong understanding of beverage operations, luxury service standards, and guest relations. - Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail. - Exceptional interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills. - Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and operating expenses. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and hospitality management systems. - Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules based on business needs.Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Experience within a Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five Diamond, luxury resort, nightlife, or high-end lounge environment. - Knowledge of beverage programming, cocktail operations, and VIP guest service. - Previous experience managing luxury entertainment or nightlife venues.
