ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage industrial energy software team building software to optimize and control battery storage systems. In this hands-on founding role, you will shape the product and build the systems that help operators manage energy assets in real time. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build backend services and optimization algorithms for real-time energy asset operations and forecasting. - Create dashboards that let battery operators monitor and control their systems. - Design and operate scalable infrastructure for deployments across thousands of battery systems. - Work with cross-functional teammates to define product requirements and deliver production-ready features. - Deploy optimizations and improve them based on feedback from real-world use. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Up to five years of work experience, with a degree completed in 2023 or later. - A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering, with a grade better than 2.0. - Full-stack experience building production applications with React, TypeScript, and Python, plus experience with Tailwind CSS. - Experience with energy systems, energy management controllers, and preferably real-time data processing, forecasting, or optimization deployed in production. - Experience in a fast-paced startup, as well as cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Fluent or near-fluent German and a semester abroad at a leading university in the US, UK, or Asia. - Experience in a selective extracurricular group during university studies is valued. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: €70,000 to €100,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site, five days per week in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
