Founding Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage team building an enterprise AI platform that helps AI systems use accurate, governed business context. As the founding cloud infrastructure engineer, you will establish the infrastructure foundation and make architectural decisions that support the platform as it grows. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design and build cloud infrastructure from the ground up, owning decisions from architecture through deployment and scaling. - Architect and operate production Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure-as-code deployments. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and systems for monitoring, observability, and logging. - Design database infrastructure and implement cloud networking, security, and access controls. - Establish infrastructure standards and practices in an early-stage environment, with opportunities to work on data pipelines and AI infrastructure. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 5 years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure, with roughly 5 to 12 years of overall experience. - Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. - Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, including compute, storage, networking, and managed services. - Background in database infrastructure, relational and NoSQL systems, security, CI/CD, and infrastructure observability. - Comfort making architectural decisions and building systems from scratch in a startup environment. Data infrastructure, graph systems, or machine learning infrastructure experience is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Visa sponsorship is available.
