Join our team, where your expertise can make a true impact! The role aims to join a team that operates a variety of haul trucks and equipment at OceanaGold’s Haile Gold Mine. 1. Category 1 - Operation of haul trucks - Operating productively while maximizing machine life and machine performance - Ensure the haul truck is operated safely and in accordance with company procedures - Perform pre-shift inspection and document appropriately2. Category 2 - Report any operational hazards to the supervisor on shift - Ensure the haul truck is operated for reliability (O4R)3 Category 3 - Communicate via 2-way radio - Assist in mine support activities as necessary - At least 1 year of experience operating equipment - Willingness to work night shift - Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English - Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsKnowledge & Core Functional Competencies: - Excellent problem-solving skills with complex problems, including both definition of the problem and generation and evaluation of solutions. - Excellent planning and organizational skills, including goal setting, group performance monitoring, and the ability to modify priorities when necessary to achieve these goals - The ability to decide from a range of competing options where the outcomes are not entirely predictable - Effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to convince others to co-operator and contribute.Physical Requirements: - Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments. - Ability to regularly access active mining and processing areas to support operational teams, conduct site visits, investigations, coaching, and workforce engagement activities. - Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and access elevated work areas as required. - Ability to wear and use mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE).Licences/Tickets: - Valid driver’s license.
