Role summary
The Channel Marketing Manager owns how Highwire's marketing reaches, moves and converts audiences across social, online events, email and CRM. This person sets the strategy for each channel, designs the lifecycle programs that carry a contact from first touch to sales conversation, partners with the internal paid media team on amplification, and reports on performance so leadership can see what drives pipeline.
The role works side by side with the Senior Marketing Coordinator, who leads execution across these channels. The Channel Marketing Manager sets direction, signs off on launches and brings the analytical depth that connects channel activity to revenue.
The role suits a hands-on marketer who is comfortable setting channel strategy and building the systems that deliver it. The contract period establishes the channel program and its reporting foundation, with the expectation of converting to a full-time role.
Core responsibilities
Channel strategy and program management
- Set channel strategy and goals, and own the integrated marketing calendar in line with VP priorities and sector GTM plans.
- Manage channel programs and launches from brief to delivery, including timelines, dependencies, owners and review cycles across internal teams and contractors.
- Run weekly status check-ins and flag capacity, scope and timeline risks early to the VP of Marketing.
- Track committed hours and deliverables so staffing and capacity reporting stay accurate.
Social media
- Set Highwire's organic social strategy and editorial calendar across LinkedIn, X, Instagram and emerging platforms.
- Write priority content, including executive, launch and campaign posts. The Senior Marketing Coordinator leads scheduling and publishing.
- Support executive visibility programs with HWPR, including LinkedIn content for Highwire leadership.
- Set community engagement guidelines and escalation paths.
- Track platform changes and test new formats to grow reach and engagement.
CRM, marketing automation and lifecycle marketing
- Own HubSpot marketing automation architecture: workflows, email sequences, lists, forms and landing pages.
- Design lifecycle and nurture programs mapped to the buyer journey, including drip campaigns, nurture tracks by sector and persona, re-engagement campaigns and post-event follow-up.
- Build lead segmentation, lead scoring and lifecycle stage definitions with the growth team and marketing operations, so MQLs and SQLs move cleanly into the pipeline.
- Set CRM data governance and property standards and run quarterly list health audits. The Senior Marketing Coordinator leads day-to-day hygiene.
- Design A/B tests on subject lines, content, offers and send timing, and apply the results.
- Uphold email deliverability, consent and compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
Online events
- Own the online event program end to end: topic planning with sector leads, speaker coordination, platform setup, run of show, production and live moderation.
- Build promotion plans across email, social and paid. The Senior Marketing Coordinator runs promotion operations, including registration pages, reminder cadences and attendance tracking.
- Design post-event programs, including on-demand assets, follow-up sequences and lead handoff to the growth team.
Paid media partnership
- Partner with Highwire's internal paid media team to align paid amplification with social, event and nurture programs.
- Supply audience segments, creative inputs and campaign timing, and set tracking and UTM standards before launch.
Cross-channel reporting and analytics
- Own performance reporting across social, email, online events, paid, website and CRM, drawing on weekly metrics compiled by the Senior Marketing Coordinator.
- Build and maintain dashboards in HubSpot and GA4 that connect channel activity to pipeline and revenue attribution.
- Set channel KPIs and benchmarks and track progress against them.
- Deliver monthly reporting to the VP of Marketing with insights and recommended optimizations.
Key partnerships
- VP of Marketing: sets priorities and goals and oversees strategy in line with business goals. The Channel Marketing Manager owns channel plans, program direction and reporting.
- Senior Marketing Coordinator: leads execution of publishing, email builds and event promotion, and reports to the VP of Marketing. The Channel Marketing Manager sets channel direction, signs off on launches and partners with her daily.

- Insights & Analytics: partners on measurement, attribution and AI visibility reporting.
Skills and experience
- 8 years in B2B marketing with direct ownership of social, email and online event channels. Agency or professional services experience is a plus.
- Advanced HubSpot Marketing Hub experience across workflows, sequences, lead scoring and reporting. HubSpot certifications preferred.
- A track record of building lifecycle and nurture programs that moved leads into pipeline.
- Experience producing webinars and LinkedIn Lives on platforms such as ON24, Zoom Webinars, Goldcast or StreamYard.
