About the role
As a QMHP, you will be responsible for providing strengths-based training utilizing an evidence-based curriculum that will help develop and build skills that will help the adult or child have a more successful existence. The QMHP will work with their QMHP Supervisor to provide the following services: Skill Training & Development, Medication Training & Support Services and Crisis Intervention Services. The QMHP will implement the Service/Treatment Plan that is focused on the adult or child and family needs and recognizing their strengths. The plan will address all the client’s needs that have been identified by the adult, family, child and any collateral information. Other job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provides support and crisis/emergency services for the child/adult/family through face-to-face contact, phone contact or availability by an on-call system (all time spent on crisis assessment and planning, crisis linkage and follow-up, and stabilization must be documented as crisis hours)
- Ensuring, reviewing, or completing communication with client and QMHP staff about client progress status and other issues that may arise during the clinical process.
- Establishes client relationships, implement and document service needs, makes referrals when needed, and coordinates or obtains care with other agencies, and other coordination of care as needed.
- Utilize effective listening skills to establish rapport with client, family members and other individuals close to the client; provide emotional support and encouragement and engage family members in the service process.
- The QMHP position requires completion of agency-approved clinical documentation within 24 hours in an electronic medical record. All late notes are subject to approval by management.
- Provides behavioral health services in behavioral management and health, works independently, may manage a caseload of clients, provide targeted case management services and monitors treatments and interventions in accordance with regulations and protocols.
- Communicate professionally and timely with internal and external staff, clients and others.
- Demonstrate friendliness by smiling and making eye contact when greeting all staff, clients and others.
- Comply with state regulatory laws, policies, and company procedures
- Maintains effective communication and supportive working relationships with client-provider and office staff, and other departments.
- Manages own workload exceptionally well, to the extent that support is often available to others; Shows initiative in offering support and expertise to coworkers and other departments.
