Your role – Are you ready for a challenge?
The Product Development Manager supports Utmost activity both for unit-linked and protection business.
They are responsible for supporting the design of new products, the monitoring of existing products and the launch of new markets, ensuring that regulatory, legal, tax, financial, operational and distribution aspects are covered in all development and life cycle phases of products.
They are responsible for the management of full protection policies lifecycle, from analysis and appraisal of applications through policy issuance and claims. They are the primary point of contact for sales and partners, medical centre and reinsurance providers.
- Supporting the Head of Product Management & Development and Underwriting in strategical projects and product & market developments;
- Supporting the development of new market and product opportunities, while ensuring that legal, regulatory, tax and distribution aspects are addressed;
- Developing business cases and implementation plans for selected new product features, categories and solutions;
- Developing complete propositions, including market requirements, product specifications, features and solutions;
- Managing existing products, realise regular product reviews, ensuring the adherence to the Product Oversight Governance (POG) policy and procedure in all the related tasks;
- Coordinating product maintenance throughout all functions of the company, also providing training, support and coaching to all functions whenever needed;
- Ensure the quality of pre and post contractual documentation;
- Managing protection policies lifecycle (offers, pre-screening insurance applicants, underwriting, policy management, records and reporting);
- Coordinating medical centre networks and ensure proper tests are arranged based on underwriting requirements and requested amount of coverage;
- Managing communication with reinsurers, partners and clients on underwriting decisions;
- Participate in Company and Group projects and workgroups, supporting products, systems and tools developments and testing.
Your profile – Have you got what it takes to become our Product Development Manager?
- At least 5 years of experience in the life insurance sector. Experience in life insurance underwriting and HNWI European markets would be considered an asset;
- Knowledge of medical and financial underwriting processes;
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as within team and to prioritise tasks;
- Attention to details, flexibility and experienced in working under pressure and to demanding deadlines;
- Full proficiency in English. Additional European languages would be considered an asset.
Additional assets
- Technical skills: medical and financial underwriting process, reinsurance, knowledge of main life insurance framework in Europe;
- Soft skills: attention to details, relationship management, time management, team working, communication skills;
- Specific trainings and certifications would be considered an asset.
