Together, let’s redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond! Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for processing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, supporting month‑end close activities, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the Accounting department. Key Duties and Responsibilities - Process, verify, and reconcile invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments. - Charge expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports. - Support month-end close by reconciling inventory to the general ledger and preparing inventory and cost reports. - Perform cost analytics for purchased and manufactured materials and services across multiple cost objects. - Act as a liaison between Manufacturing, Accounting, Program Finance, Program Management, Procurement, and Cost Estimating. - Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying tax identification information, preparing payments, and resolving PO, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies. - Process employee expense reports and verify supporting documentation. - Reconcile vendor accounts by reviewing monthly statements and related transactions. - Provide weekly reports to management on unpaid invoices and cash balances. - Maintain accounting ledgers and perform general ledger reconciliations. - Uphold the integrity and confidentiality of accounting files and records. - Perform additional duties as assigned to support department objectives. Required Qualifications and Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. - 2–4 years of accounting experience required. - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 required. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines with accurate execution. - Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to manage responsibilities independently once trained. - Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices related to accounts payable and general ledger functions. - Must be a U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with U.S. government space technology export regulations. Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. Work Environment The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company.
