We are modernizing a large, business-critical operational platform that has evolved over many years and combines application logic, database-level rules, and partly manual operational processes. The project involves transitioning the existing solution towards a modern, cloud-native architecture, delivered by a small senior team working with heavy AI leverage.
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain Azure infrastructure, support application and data platform deployments, and improve automation. You will work with software engineers, data engineers, and operations teams to keep production and non-production environments reliable, secure, and maintainable. You will help teams release changes consistently and turn recurring operational problems into improvements to tooling and documentation.
This hands-on role combines routine platform administration, CI/CD, and troubleshooting. You will handle standard changes independently, with peer review and support from senior engineers for architectural decisions, complex incidents, and changes with significant production impact.
🚀 Your main responsibilities:
- Maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform, including reusable modules, environment configuration, remote state, and reviewed deployment plans. Investigate configuration drift and help keep existing resources under version control.
- Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including automated checks, artifacts, approvals, build agents, and service connections.
- Support cloud data platforms such as Azure Databricks, managing workspace settings, compute resources, permissions, storage access, and deployment configuration.
- Deploy and maintain serverless services, particularly Azure Functions, and support Azure Event Hubs configuration, access, capacity, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot common networking and access issues involving DNS, private endpoints, Entra ID, RBAC, and Key Vault.
- Maintain monitoring and alerts, investigate incidents using logs and metrics, and escalate complex issues with clear findings.
- Support production releases and recovery testing, following established change procedures and validating services after deployment. Document results and keep rollback instructions current for routine changes.
- Write operational scripts and runbooks, automate recurring tasks, and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary cloud resource usage through appropriate sizing, scheduling, and cleanup.
