ZendeskCommunication
We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. The Workplace Experience (WPE) team is responsible for shaping the employee experience at Plaid, ensuring that our workspaces, events, and cultural touchpoints drive connection, collaboration, productivity, and engagement. Within WPE, the Employee Experience team brings Plaid's culture to life by designing and executing programs that foster belonging and engagement across both in-office and distributed environments, from flagship company-wide gatherings to onboarding, milestone moments, and everyday culture-building. We ensure every Plaid, whether new or tenured, remote or in-office, feels welcomed, valued, and connected. As an Employee Experience Coordinator, you will help bring Plaid’s culture to life by supporting internal events, employee programs, and everyday moments that help Plaids feel welcomed, connected, and celebrated. You will coordinate event logistics, employee communications, vendor details, and onsite execution for programs ranging from monthly social hours and team gatherings to company-wide events. You will work closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to keep projects organized, respond to employee questions, and ensure each experience runs smoothly from planning through completion. This role is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, comfortable juggling multiple priorities, and excited to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Coordinate logistics, vendor relationships, budget tracking, timeline development, space setup, and communications for in-office and remote events. - Serve as the first point of contact for employee emails, Slack messages, and support tickets—responding directly or routing inquiries to the appropriate team member. - Assist in planning and executing a variety of employee events and programs, including retreats, Plaiderdays, monthly socials, holiday parties, onsites/offsites, and more. - Manage operational details and provide hands-on support to ensure programs run smoothly from planning through completion. - Research vendors and venues, place catering orders, and create event signage and flyers. - Oversee event setup, on-the-ground event management, and breakdown for social hours and flagship gatherings. - Provide administrative support for events and programs, including project tracking, note-taking, task management, and swag coordination. - Build excitement and keep employees informed by producing event communications such as invites, promotional materials, and recaps. - Collaborate with cross-functional partners (People, DEIB, Comms, Workplace Operations) to support broader employee experience initiatives and create memorable experiences for all Plaids. Qualifications - Comfort being a visible presence in the office and engaging employees face-to-face - 1–3 years of experience in an events, employee experience, administrative assistant, HR, or workplace experience role. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once. - Proficient communication skills across multiple channels (email, Slack, decks, event invites, etc.) including clear, warm, and timely written and verbal communication skills. - A proactive, can-do attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment. - Collaborative mindset and comfort working cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders. - Experience planning and executing events. - Comfortable being onsite three days per week in the NYC office(Tuesday–Thursday). - Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Canva, Zendesk, or event platforms (e.g.,, Epoch) - Experience supporting multi-office or distributed teams. - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Our mission at Plaid is to unlock financial freedom for everyone. To support that mission, we seek to build a diverse team of driven individuals who care deeply about making the financial ecosystem more equitable. We recognize that strong qualifications can come from both prior work experiences and lived experiences.
