O’Connor Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, compassionate veterinary receptionist to join our growing team in Irving, TX! Since 1997, O’Connor Animal Hospital has proudly served the Irving community as a full-service veterinary practice caring for dogs and cats. Led by Dr. Kang, our experienced team provides everything from wellness exams, vaccinations, bloodwork, dental care, diagnostic imaging, surgery, boarding, and grooming to advanced laparoscopic and orthopedic procedures Our diverse team provides care in English, Spanish, and Korean, allowing us to create a welcoming experience for every client and patient. As a Bilingual Veterinary Receptionist, your Spanish-speaking skills will play an important role in helping clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable throughout their pet’s visit. Bilingual English/Spanish skills required To learn more about us click here. What You’ll Do As a veterinary receptionist, you’ll be one of the first faces clients and their pets see. You’ll help keep the front desk running smoothly while providing the compassionate, professional service our clients have come to expect. Your responsibilities will include: - Greet and welcome clients and patients with a warm, professional attitude - Answer phone calls, emails, and client questions and direct concerns to the appropriate team member - Schedule appointments while helping maintain an efficient daily flow - Check clients in and out and accurately process payments - Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area - Provide compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during difficult or sensitive situations - Help communicate veterinary recommendations and information clearly to pet owners - Work closely with the veterinary team to support excellent patient and client careThe ideal Bilingual Veterinary Receptionist will be comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking clients and helping bridge communication between clients and our veterinary team.  What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a veterinary receptionist who is compassionate, calm under pressure, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a busy veterinary hospital. You’ll thrive here if you’re a strong communicator, team player, and self-starter who enjoys learning. - At least 1 year of veterinary receptionist or veterinary hospital experience required - Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required  - Strong computer and organizational skills - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail - Compassionate approach when supporting clients through various medical outcomes - Willingness to continue developing your veterinary knowledge and skillsWorking in a veterinary hospital means you may encounter unpleasant odors and noises and may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
