Location: Mississauga, ON Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-Site Job Function: Information Technology Industry: Building Envelope / Construction Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 per year Flynn Group of Companies, North America's leading building envelope contractor, is seeking an HR & Payroll Systems Support professional to join our IT team in Mississauga. This role is ideal for a systems-focused professional with experience supporting HR and payroll technologies, system testing, payroll processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This position plays a key role in supporting our HR and Payroll systems, ensuring data integrity, participating in testing activities, and assisting with system enhancements and process improvements. The successful candidate will be comfortable working between technical systems and business users while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of accuracy. What We Offer Branch and team social events Ongoing training through Flynn University and eLearning Company-subsidized cafeteria and on-site gym Free on-site parking Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including: Dental and supplemental medical plans Vision care Life insurance RRSP matching program Employee & Family Assistance Program What You'll Do HR & Payroll Systems Support Provide day-to-day support for HR and Payroll systems, including SAP Payroll, SuccessFactors Employee Central and related applications.   Support payroll and HR processes by assisting with system administration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Test union wage rate updates and related system changes.   Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and IT to ensure system functionality and accuracy. Monitor, investigate, document, and escalate system issues as required. Testing & Quality Assurance Execute testing activities related to system enhancements, upgrades, releases, and regulatory changes. Develop and execute test scripts and document testing results. Support year-end, start-of-year, and ongoing payroll-related testing requirements. Identify defects, document findings, and coordinate follow-up testing activities. Ensure system changes meet business requirements and maintain system integrity. Documentation & Process Improvement Develop and maintain system procedures and process documentation. Assist with documenting business requirements and enhancement requests. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to HR and payroll systems. Maintain accurate records of testing activities, system changes, and process updates. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders. Provide responsive support and excellent customer service to internal users. Communicate system updates, issues, and recommendations in a clear and professional manner. Protect the confidentiality and integrity of employee and payroll data. What We're Looking For 3-5 years of experience supporting HRIS, Payroll systems, Payroll operations, or enterprise applications. Hands-on payroll processing experience and a strong understanding of payroll practices. Experience with cloud-based HR/Payroll systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, or similar platforms.  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and working with large datasets. Experience participating in system testing, validation, upgrades, and implementation activities. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively across HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and payroll information with discretion. Payroll designation, experience in a unionized environment, and experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll are considered strong assets. Ability to work in-office Monday-Friday. Successful candidates must be able to pass a criminal and credit background check due to the sensitive nature of the role.
