What You'll Do  Manage industrial and commercial electrical field service and project-based work from RFP through closeout. This role owns project scope, schedule, budget, customer communication, field coordination, and financial performance. This position will also support estimating, customer site walks, proposal development, change-order pricing, and other Solutions Team priorities. This position will primarily work in and around our service area in Minnesota, with the possibility of needs across the Midwest or the continental United States at times. Responsibilities - Manage assigned electrical projects from initial opportunity and pre-construction through final closeout, with accountability for safety, scope, schedule, budget, customer expectations, and financial results. - Partner with Business Development and customers to qualify opportunities, understand project drivers, define technical needs, and establish practical pursuit strategies. - Lead and participate in customer discovery meetings, site walks, field investigations, and constructability reviews to develop clear scopes of work and identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and schedule constraints. - Support pre-construction design by coordinating with customers, engineers, vendors, and field leadership to develop conceptual layouts, design criteria, equipment selections, installation approaches, and value-engineering options. - Create complete, competitive electrical estimates using drawings, specifications, site conditions, historical data, and defined customer requirements. - Perform and validate quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, material and equipment pricing, subcontractor scope, vendor quotations, indirect costs, contingencies, escalation, and project-specific risk allowances. - Develop proposal packages, clarifications, alternates, allowances, qualifications, and pricing narratives that clearly communicate KE’s scope, value, and commercial position. - Provide estimating support across the Solutions Team by reviewing scopes, takeoffs, labor plans, vendor pricing, proposal strategy, and estimate completeness; assist with bid reviews and turnover preparation. - Review estimates, proposals, contracts, purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements before startup; lead internal handoff and kickoff activities to align estimating assumptions with project execution. - Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower plans, material needs, shutdown requirements, work sequencing, procurement plans, and key milestones. - Monitor labor productivity, material, equipment, subcontractors, purchase commitments, billing, cost to complete, and forecasted margin; address concerns early. - Identify scope changes, develop and validate change-order pricing, submit and track change orders, and communicate approved changes to the field and project team. - Serve as a primary KE contact and communicate project status, schedule, risks, required decisions, and changes clearly and professionally while developing long-term customer relationships and identifying follow-on opportunities. - Conduct regular site visits, maintain strong working relationships with field leadership, and remove roadblocks affecting safe and efficient execution. - Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, procurement, long-lead materials, equipment, and critical delivery dates. - Maintain complete project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, schedules, correspondence, photographs, cost information, and as-built requirements. - Lead punch-list completion, project closeout, final financial review, estimate-versus-actual analysis, and lessons-learned activities; apply findings to improve future estimates and execution plans. - Support safe project planning and partner with field leadership and KE Safety to address project-specific risks. - Support Project Coordinators and developing team members by sharing estimating, pre-construction, project-controls, and customer-management practices. - Participate in KE Project Manager meetings and operating cadences for pipeline review, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, reporting, risk management, change management, and project controls. What You'll Bring  *This position is based in Minnesota and requires up to 20% travel to customers and project sites. If you feel you are an excellent candidate, we encourage you to apply! - Previous electrical construction project-management experience strongly preferred; industrial electrical or Field Services experience is a plus. - Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. - Working knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, equipment, project sequencing, and jobsite execution. - Demonstrated understanding of project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, job-cost management, and change orders. - Electrical estimating, and or project management experience preferred. - Strong customer communication, relationship-management, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while working effectively with field and office teams. - Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, Dynamics, estimating platforms, or similar systems preferred. - Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and strong written and verbal communication skills. - Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer and project locations. - Ability to support occasional shutdown, evening, or weekend activities when project needs require.
