About the role

For this role, we will only consider candidates who are currently based in the Netherlands. About SkinVision Skin cancer is highly treatable when caught early, but limited access to specialist care and long wait times delay diagnosis, increasing the risk of late-stage cases and driving up treatment costs. SkinVision, founded in Amsterdam in 2012, exists to close that gap. Our proprietary AI — certified as a Class IIa medical device under EU regulation, with over 90% sensitivity and 89% specificity — has already helped nearly 3 million people worldwide detect early signs of skin cancer. Today, SkinVision has a database of more than 6 million skin cancer images and can reach 20 million people through insurer partnerships. High-risk cases are reviewed by a team of dermatologists, who support users in taking the right next step — from urgent care to a specialist referral. We are extending this further, connecting users faster to the specialist care they need. We're a focused, international team, active globally, united by one goal: making early detection accessible to everyone, everywhere. If you join us, you're not just building a product — you're helping close the gap between a person noticing something and getting the care they need. Head of Operations at SkinVision SkinVision builds a CE-marked medical device that assesses skin cancer risk, and Operations sits at the heart of the clinical pathway. This function shapes what users are told, how quickly their results are reviewed, and whether those at high risk are connected to a doctor. The Head of Operations will take ownership of support, clinical review, patient follow-up, internal tooling, and service performance measurement. Some of these areas are already mature and self-sustaining, others are still taking shape and will need to be built from the ground up. What you will do - Set the strategic direction, structure, and budget for Operations, determining what should be built internally, automated, or outsourced. - Grow the team by hiring strong people and coaching them into future leaders. - Define the standards that keep a small, safety-critical operation running consistently and audit-ready at all times. - Bring operational data together into one shared view across functions, so that patterns invisible at the team level become clear at scale. Assess product performance across different user groups and markets, going beyond average outcomes. - Lead the human-review process that protects the accuracy of results, weighing speed against safety. - Ensure patient communication and follow-up remain safe, empathetic, and consistent no matter the market. - Convert operational and usability findings into clear, prioritised input for Product and Commercial teams. - Collaborate closely with Finance, Regulatory, and Clinical teams on shared processes and data. - Take a forward-looking view of operational capability needs, identifying and addressing them ahead of demand as the business grows.
