Infrastructure Operations Specialist

- Support and maintain global infrastructure services (Operating Systems, Virtualization, Storage, Backup, and Patching) within a transversal team. - Manage operations and Level 2 & Level 3 troubleshooting and maintenance for infrastructure and security issues. - Apply security best practices, including system hardening, configuration management, vulnerability mitigation, and security enforcement. - Implement scripting and automation techniques to standardize, optimize, and control environments. - Ensure infrastructure reliability and availability through active monitoring, alerting, and service management. - Oversee and manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and external service providers during major global infrastructure rollouts (Identity, Data Center, and Network programs). - Collaborate across teams and regions, partnering with Application, Security, Cloud, and Citrix engineering teams. - Propose and implement new processes and operational methods using ITIL, Agile, and DevOps methodologies. - Professional Certifications: Microsoft (e.g., MCSA Windows Server), VMware, Linux, Security certifications, or equivalent. - Alternative Virtualization Technologies: Nutanix or Proxmox. - Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure or AWS environments. - Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in corporate environments. - Education: Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Core Technical Skills: - Virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V. - Operating Systems: Windows Server and Linux administration. - Storage: Basic to advanced storage infrastructure management. - Security & Tooling: Security best practices, system hardening, and tools such as Qualys. - Scripting & Automation: Powershell, Bash, or Ansible. - Monitoring: Hands-on experience with reliability monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., PRTG, Nagios). - Patching & Maintenance: Familiarity with tools like ManageEngine or WSUS. - Methodologies & Governance: Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure Service Management, ITIL, Agile, and IT Security policies/regulations. - Soft Skills & Languages: - Fluent in English (written and verbal communication). - Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and expert technical judgment. - Proactive, collaborative, and capable of working effectively across regional and global teams. - bProfessional Certifications: Microsoft (e.g., MCSA Windows Server), VMware, Linux, Security certifications, or equivalent. - Alternative Virtualization Technologies: Nutanix or Proxmox. - Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure or AWS environments.
