About the role
LLMsB2B SalesSEMGerman
As a Senior SEA Manager, you will take full ownership of the performance, profitability, and day-to-day execution of Westwing's SEA activities across Google, Bing, Criteo, YouTube, and LLM-based advertising. Operating with high independence, you will steer monthly budgets of up to seven figures while acting as a strategic sparring partner to the Team Lead Paid Media on complex, high-visibility projects. This role combines sharp analytical capability with leadership, directly guiding our SEA intern to support wider team growth. This position is permanent and located in Munich.
- Own the execution and optimisation of performance campaigns across Google, Bing, Criteo, YouTube, and emerging LLM-based advertising platforms
- Steer monthly budgets of up to seven figures, focusing on profitability and contribution-margin steering rather than pure top-line metrics
- Act as a strategic sparring partner to the Team Lead Paid Media on highly complex operational and strategic initiatives
- Lead and mentor the SEA intern, managing their capacity and project allocation to maximise team impact
- Drive AI-based automation, bidding setups, and continuous testing roadmaps to unlock incremental channels and growth
- Collaborate with Analytics and Tech teams to ensure data excellence, robust conversion tracking, and high-quality product feeds
- Deliver insight-driven performance reporting and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
- 5+ years of hands-on SEA experience with deep expertise in Google Ads, as well as experience with Bing, Criteo, and YouTube
- Proven track record of independently managing seven-figure monthly budgets in an e-commerce environment
- Strong background in profitability steering, budget planning, internalised bidding, or contribution-margin optimisation
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable channel roadmaps as well as high operational excellence and attention to detail, maintaining flawless account structures and data tracking
- Challenger mentality with intrinsic motivation to lead complex projects and proactively introduce AI and automation features
- Experience or strong aptitude for guiding, mentoring, or functionally supervising junior team members
- Full professional fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
