Job Duties
In conjunction with the Supervisor, Project Engineer;
- Perform a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks in the field and office settings.
- Attend meetings for preliminary plan discussion, pre-construction and other departmental meetings.
- Assist with the management of the Maintenance Preservation Programs.
- Arrange and manage maintenance contracts.
- Review associated drainage issues with district personnel.
- Manage various budget accounts and contracts.
- Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
- Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
Special Experience/Education
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
- One to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is preferred.
- A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.
