About One Acre Fund
Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. Our Rwanda program, founded in 2007 is our largest and operates under the local brand Tubura. We have more than 3,000 staff across all four provinces of Rwanda, as well as in Kigali. Together, we served more than 2.8 million farmers in 2024. We work closely with the government to support national efforts to improve food security. Additionally, we help channel funding and resources to promising agri-SMEs, supporting farmers by providing a market for high-impact crops such as coffee, avocado, and chili.
About the Role
Lead a team to own end-to-end audit compliance and also coordinate cross-functionally, ensure 100% data accuracy, and optimize processes to meet critical deadlines. High-visibility role driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Audit Ecosystem & Compliance Management
- Lead end-to-end audit readiness, verify supporting documentation to 100% accuracy, and serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Process Optimisation & Gap Resolution
- Proactively identify compliance gaps across departments, redesign documentation workflows, and build lasting organisational best practices for audit readiness.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Direct, coach, and balance the workload for a team of 3–5 direct reports to maintain quality control under tight deadlines.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Coordination
- Partner closely with internal Finance, Tech, FRC, and FAS teams to streamline data requests and report audit progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in audit management, financial compliance, or internal controls.
- Proven experience leading and supervising a team, including workload balancing and performance management.
- Expertise in end-to-end audit readiness, supporting document verification, and managing relations with external/internal auditors.
- Strong process optimization skills with a track record of identifying compliance gaps and redesigning documentation workflows.
- Advanced analytical capability with an uncompromising standard for 100% data accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is required.
